Star Wars™ Half Marathon - The Dark Side

Event Overview

Volunteers are needed on behalf of the Noah's Light Foundation for the Star Wars Half Marathon – The Dark Side! It is a weekend of galactic fun and fantastic runs during the Inaugural Star Wars Half Marathon – The Dark Side - at the Walt Disney World® Resort.

Designated Charity

Noah's Light Foundation was established in 2010 by Amber Larkin after her son, Noah, was treated for medulloblastoma, an aggressive form of pediatric brain cancer. After learning that few treatments for pediatric cancer had been developed in the past 30 years, Amber knew she had to act.

The Foundation's goal is to fund revolutionary, immune based research that leads to a cure. In the five short years since its inception, this research has already led to The NOAH Protocol, a ground breaking treatment which harnesses the power of the body's own natural killer (NK) cells rather than harmful chemotherapy and radiation. This path gives hope to families that their children will not only survive, but thrive, after a cancer diagnosis.
