Big news for runDisney® and the Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend! That’s because 2027 will mark the 30th anniversary of the Walt Disney World Half Marathon! In celebration, inaugural mascot Donald Duck will be the star of the show at every race on every course over the January 6–10 weekend, inviting athletes, fans and his Disney pals to join in his antics.

So come join Pluto for a doggone fun 5K. Enjoy a nutty 10K with Chip ’n’ Dale. Embark on the half marathon starring Donald and Daisy. Take on the full marathon featuring Mickey and Minnie. Run the side-splitting Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge (made up of both the half marathon and marathon). Or go for the ultimate feat by conquering the Dopey Challenge consisting of all four races. With Donald being part of it all! As always, magic and one-of-a-kind medals are included.

Proof of Time Guidelines

If you believe you will finish the Half Marathon in 2 hours and 30 minutes (2:30) or less or the Marathon in 5 hours (5:00) or less, proof of time is required for start group placement. If you believe you will finish the Half Marathon in over 2 hours and 30 minutes or the Marathon in over 5 hours, proof of time is not required. Start group placement is based on your anticipated finish time and start group capacities. Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge and Dopey Challenge participants should adhere to Full Marathon proof of time requirements. Proof of time is not required for the 5K and 10K races.

Please note that if you submit a proof of time from an alternate race distance, an industry standard calculation will be applied to equate your finish time. You must have a half marathon finish time of 2 hours 22 minutes (2:22) or less to qualify for the Marathon proof of time of 5 hours (5:00) or less.

  • Proof of time must be provided from an officially timed race on a USATF certified course reflecting results between January 1, 2024 and August 3, 2026, and must be one of the below listed distances.
  • Participants will be placed in the last start group if appropriate race distance is not submitted for proof of time or if the data provided is incomplete or cannot be verified.

Full Marathon Proof of Time: Results for a 10-Mile, Half Marathon or Marathon

Half Marathon Proof of Time: Results for a 10K, 10-Mile, Half Marathon or Marathon

Please note: We cannot accept relays, trail runs, self-timed, training or Virtual Runs as proof of time.

When you register, a valid proof of time must include all of the following:

  • Name of Race
  • Distance
  • City
  • State
  • Date (see acceptable date range above)
  • Finish Time (in Hours: Minutes: Seconds)
  • Website Link to Results

Example: Walt Disney World Marathon; 26.2 miles; Orlando, FL; January 12, 2024—3:45:00

  • For start group placement, proof of time must be submitted by the participant for each individual race. If someone else registered you, your proof of time must be submitted by the person who registered you and must adhere to the Proof of Time Guidelines.
  • Proof of Time must be submitted at the time of registration. You may change your proof of time until the deadline of August 3, 2026. No changes can be made after August 3, 2026. If data provided is incomplete or cannot be verified, you will be placed in the last start group.
  • No changes to your starting group will be made after August 3, 2026.
  • If you register after the proof of time deadline you are still able to submit a valid proof of time at the point of registration. After you conclude the registration process, you will not be able to add or edit proof of time.
  • Past runDisney races may be used as proof of time; however, you will need to submit them with your race registration.
  • Proof of time submissions must be made within your participant account and cannot be accepted via email. If someone else registered you, your proof of time submissions must be made to your registration within the account for the person who registered you and cannot be accepted via email.
  • Update your proof of time in your participant account.
