Ready, Set, Shop with the Updated runDisney Virtual Queue at Disneyland Resort!
We have brought the magic of virtual queues to runDisney race participants looking to visit the official runDisney Merchandise Shop as well as shop the runDisney-themed Brooks Running shoes on the first day of the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo. Spend more time enjoying your Expo experience and visiting with Expo vendors, all while waiting in line for merchandise, virtually.
In order to use the virtual queue on day one of the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo, you’ll need to download the Disneyland Resort App and ensure location services are turned on. From there:
• Step 1: Open the app and navigate to the Virtual Queues section on the Welcome Screen. On the first day of the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo, Guests can request to join the virtual queue at 7:00 a.m. PT.
• Step 2: Once in this section, visit the tab labeled Special Events. Select the runDisney Merchandise Shop or Brooks Footwear Village and tap “Join Virtual Queue.” Note: Guests will have the ability to join both the runDisney Merchandise Shop and Brooks Footwear Village if they wish. You will need to join one of the Virtual Queues, then start back at “Step 1” to join the other.
• Step 3: Select the number of Guests, up to four people total, in your shopping party. Tap “Join Virtual Queue” once more.
• Step 4: If spots remain in the virtual queue, you’ll see a confirmation screen with an estimated wait time. Note: your estimated wait time will be based on the expo's local opening time, so don’t be alarmed if your wait appears long!
• Step 5: You’ll receive a push notification directly to your mobile device when your group is ready to return. You’ll have an hour and a half to arrive at either retail location after you’ve been notified. Please note the return location if you are registered for both the runDisney Merchandise Shop and Brooks Footwear Village. Note: Please ensure you have notifications enabled on your mobile device.
• Step 6: Once you arrive, follow the signs to the check-in area and prepare to show the Cast Member the QR code you received along with your confirmation.
Product Details and Purchase Information
• The runDisney Merchandise Shop and Brooks Footwear Village are open to all Guests, but access during the first day will be managed exclusively through the Virtual Queue.
• Visuals of the exclusive runDisney-themed Brooks Running shoes will be displayed throughout the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo.
• In the Brooks Running shoe trial area, Guests will have the opportunity to try on the same Brooks Running shoe models in generic non-Disney themed designs to ensure the best fit.
o While trial is not mandatory, it is highly recommended specifically if you are not familiar with Brooks Running shoe models
o Trial socks will be available, but we recommend bringing your own for a more comfortable and accurate fit.
• Forms will be distributed by the Brooks Running shoe trialing area to all Guests who wish to purchase any Brooks Running shoes; on this form, you’ll need to provide the following information:
o Desired style;
o Size;
o Width;
o Quantity (Please note that there will be a limit on quantities per person on the first day of the expo – one of each design per adult purchaser).
§ This form is required before entering to purchase runDisney-themed Brooks Running shoes.
• Please note that only credit/debit card payments will be accepted; cash, Disney gift cards, and Magic Bands will not be accepted. Additionally, Disney Merchandise Mobile Checkout will not be available for runDisney-themed Brooks Running shoes.
• No discounts (Disney and/or Brooks) will be applicable for runDisney-themed Brooks Running shoes.
• Returns and exchanges will not be processed during the first day of the expo and will be subject to availability starting on day two.
A few additional things to note:
- Platinum and Gold Club runDisney Members do not need to join the Virtual Queue to access their early shopping windows during the first day of the Expo. Please reference the member email for additional information.
- Guests can join the virtual queue from the comfort of their hotel room or home, within approximately 90 miles from Disneyland Resort.
- To enjoy all the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo offerings, please arrive onsite when you have approximately 60 minutes remaining on your estimated wait time.
- One QR code will be sent for the entire party enrolled in the virtual queue.

Joining the virtual queue does not grant any or immediate access to the runDisney Merchandise Shop or Brooks Footwear Village. Virtual queues are limited in capacity and subject to availability. Merchandise is subject to availability and inventory may sell out.
