Tasty Tips To Prepare Your Appetite for the 2023 Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend!
We’re gearing up for a delicious start to the runDisney race season with only a few more days until the 2023 Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend. As you get ready to conquer “courses” inspired by memorable Disney dinner (and tea) parties and favorite moments found around the table, we’re sharing a few tips to prepare your appetite for a smooth race day. Take a look:
Appetizer
- First runDisney event? Be sure to plan for a 15-minute mile or faster.
- Fill out the back of your race bib with emergency information.
- Pre-plan your post-race meeting location with fellow runners and your chEARleaders!
Main Course
- Keep headphones at a low volume to hear announcements.
- Stay to your right if slower and signal with hands if stopping or walking. Step aside if you hear, “Excuse me” or “Coming through.”
- To avoid slowing others, enter the start group of your latest group member and only run 1-2 people across.
- If stopping at a water or food station, move as close to the tables as you can and when possible, dispose of trash in proper receptacles.
Dessert
- Wear your race bib front and center for photo services.
- Stop for characters in designated areas and be ready with camera/phone for photos.
- Most important, HAVE FUN!
