Runner Recipes With Character | A Goofy Smoothie

Hi runners! I’m Jamie Lee, a Disney-loving Dietitian and mom of a very run-happy family! Our virtual races at home may look different, but we aim to fuel for optimal performance none-the-less. Fruits and vegetables are bursting with antioxidants that fight oxidative stress and may help you recover from a run better. Whether you’re gearing up for the Goofy Challenge or are just looking to be able to carry on with your active life post-run, here’s a tasty recipe to refuel and recover after your race!
As a mom, I’ve found one of the easiest ways to get more fruits and vegetables into my family’s diet is through smoothies. The bright colors and sweet taste make a smoothie appealing to even the toughest critics at the table. What I love as a Dietitian is the chance to fill a cup with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and fluids for post-run recovery and overall good health!
This smoothie is inspired by Goofy and all the runners goofy enough to run multiple races! Since you’ll be a bit tired from your run, this recipe utilizes convenient GoGo squeeZ Fruit and Veggiez pouches with frozen fruit and veggies to reduce the washing, peeling and cutting prep work while maintaining all the nutrients and flavor. Show your Goofy spirit at home by sipping this fruity drink as you rest up for the next race!

A Goofy Smoothie
Makes 1 smoothie
Ingredients
Part One
- 1 GoGo squeeZ Bowlin’ Blueberry Fruit & Veggiez Pouch
- 1 ice cube
- 1/3rd cup frozen blueberries
- ¼ cup water
- Optional: ½ teaspoon blue spirulina or natural blood food coloring
Part Two
- 1 Gogo squeeZ Max Mango Fruit and Veggiez Pouch
- 1 ice cube
- 1/3rd cup frozen mango chunks
- ¼ cup water
Part Three
- 1 GoGo squeeZ Zippin’ Zingin’ Pear Fruit & Veggiez Pouch
- 1 ice cube
- 1 handful fresh baby spinach
- 1/3rd cup frozen banana
- ¼ cup water
Directions
- Blend Part 1 ingredients together and pour into a tall glass or tumbler.
- Blend Part 2 ingredients and pour directly on top of Part 1 smoothie ingredients.
- Blend Part 3 ingredients and pour directly on top of Part 2 smoothie ingredients.
- Drink immediately and enjoy!
