Just Keep Training with Pixar Content to Stream on Disney+

To fitness… and beyond! As we head into the warm summer months, runners looking to have an incredible training session will want to adjust their routines to stay safe. AdventHealth, Official Medical Provider of runDisney, recommends on days unsafe for outdoor activity, to get into the ‘fro’zone by heading inside and running on a treadmill or get an indoor cross-training stretch session in.

It’s time to lace up those scary feet and channel your inner warrior with the perfect Pixar content, curated by the AdventHealth team, available on Disney+. Take a look:

Warm Ups

Get your muscles race day ready with a little pre-run conditioning. Running is a high-impact exercise involving many muscle groups, so before you head out on your miles, plan to spend a few minutes stretching with exercises to strengthen those muscles. For your warm up, check-out one of Pixar’s delightful and inspiring animated short stories. AdventHealth recommends a ten minute warm-up before a run, making them a perfect content pair to ensure your body is properly prepared. This exercise content pairing is also perfect for your family to join in on!

Light Run

Looking to gradually build up to your first 5K or just want to get a quick weekday run in? No need for speed as you spend a recommended 30 minutes walking or running, gradually increasing your endurance and distance. As you head to the treadmill to get moving, cue up some of the Pixar content new to Disney+ such as “Inside Pixar” or “A Celebration of the Music from Coco” for a little longer watch time.

Longer Distance

Training for a future event or looking to get a long run in? Say “ka-chow” to extending your endurance limit and improving your mention concentration as you keep a steady pace throughout your desired run length. AdventHealth recommends for building running endurance to run for 60+ minutes and look to increase your distance by 10% or less each week. Feel inspired during those long miles with one of Pixar’s full-length animated features. While there are many amazing films to choose from, we suggest checking out the recent Academy Award-winning movie “Soul,” perfect for finding your spark during your run.
