Add Some Character to Training with Walt Disney Animation Content to Stream on Disney+

It’s time to find your groove and get ready to wreck your summertime training! No Genie needed to have a magical training session, just look to adjust your routines for cooler indoor workout so you stay safer! AdventHealth, Official Medical Provider of runDisney, recommends on days unsafe for outdoor activity, to stay inside your castle and running on a treadmill or get an indoor cross-training stretch session in.

All you need is faith, trust and the perfect Walt Disney Animation content to pair with your workout, curated by the AdventHealth team, available on Disney+. Take a look:

Warm Ups

Don’t sleep on a good warm-up routine! Every runner in training should awaken their muscles prior to heading out for a run to reduce the risk of injury and increase their heart rate, range of motion and respiration to metabolically prime the body for running. To get started, warm things up with some content from Walt Disney Animation Studios that’s as classic as some of the pre-run stretches AdventHealth recommends. Ideally, a warm-up routine lasting around 10 minutes should take place immediately before your run. With most at 10 minutes or under, check out a few of the animated shorts, such as Mickey Mouse’s debut in “Disney Steamboat Willie”, perfect for ensuring your body is properly prepared.

Light Run

No need to set out on a long adventure every day. AdventHealth recommends to build up your race day endurance by spending 30 minutes walking or running, gradually increasing your speed and distance. On those days you want to get just a few miles in, cue up something high energy and colorful, such as “Disney Saludos Amigos” for a little longer watch time.

Longer Distance

Gear up to go the distance, no herculean effort needed! Go from zero to hero by extending your endurance limit and improving your mention concentration as you keep a steady pace throughout your desired run length. AdventHealth recommends for building running endurance to run for 60+ minutes increasing your distance by 10% or less each week. Get motivated for those long miles with a full-length animated feature from Walt Disney Animated Studios. While there is a wide variety of new and classic films to choose from, we suggest the newest movie to the collection, “Disney Raya and the Last Dragon ” available to Disney+ on June 4, perfect for channeling your inner warrior.
