A Villainous Return to Disneyland Resort with the 2025 Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon Weekend!

runDisney runners, reporting for duty! It’s time for another frightfully fun set of events as a race weekend filled with miles of mischief returns to the Disneyland Resort during the 2025 Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon Weekend. Back for a second year, happening September 4-7, 2025, the fall race weekend features four days of events for all skill levels including yoga, Kids Races, 5K, 10K, Half Marathon and Challenge, all centered around a few of the delightfully devious Disney villains. With wickedly wonderful courses through the theme parks – featuring fright-tacular Halloween décor - and around the surrounding areas, plus exciting finisher medals, you’re sure to have an eerily awesome 'run'cation.

Well, well, well… what are you waiting for? Get a first look at the individual event themes coming to the 2025 race weekend!

2025 Disneyland Halloween 5K | Ursula
No poor unfortunate soles here. Slink through Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park for 3.1 miles with salty Ursula, the sea witch, as your host with the most (limbs).

2025 Disneyland Halloween 10K | Cruella De Vil
Ready your paws “fur” 6.2 miles through Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park hosted by the madcap Cruella De Vil.

2025 Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon | Maleficent
Get fired up to slay 13.1 miles through Disneyland park, Disney California Adventure park and surrounding areas as Maleficent tries to curse it all.

2025 Chills & Thrills Challenge | Pain and Panic
Double the trouble. Finish the 10K and half marathon for a total of 19.3 miles and receive a bonus Challenge medal. Just don’t let “Pain” and “Panic” (from Hercules) get in your way.

runDisney Kids’ Races | Captain Hook
Arrrgh! Younger athletes can get into ship shape as they run toward a pirate’s life with Captain Hook.

An early morning stretch is nothing to lose your head over! Keep calm and start your race weekend by balancing your mind, body and spirit. Hosted by the Queen of Hearts, participants can start their morning enjoying the unique opportunity to do yoga with a view of Sleeping Beauty Castle before the park opens. Plus, experience special photo opportunities and appearances by some of your favorite Disney characters. Learn more about this exciting event here.
