Disney's Princess Half Marathon Weekend
Sports Enthusiasts are needed on behalf of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for the 2014 Disney's Princess Half Marathon. Disney's Princess Half Marathon Weekend brings women of all ages together to participate in a magical event designed just for them. The Disney Princesses are the inspiration for the weekend's events and will focus on the attributes every princess possesses: commitment, courage, determination, fantasy, perseverance, and strength.
The weekend features four different events:

Friday, February 21, 2014- Saturday, February 22, 2014 - Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse Royal Family 5K
Saturday, February 22, 2014 - runDisney Kids Races
Saturday, February 22, 2014 - Disney's Princess Half Marathon

The Disney's Princess Half Marathon Weekend benefits The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, an organization dedicated to the fight against blood cancers. With the yearly support of thousands of volunteers, the Disney's Princess Half Marathon Weekend will help Team In Training® (TNT) raise dollars for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. TNT, the world's largest endurance sports training program, supports The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society by raising funds to aid the organization's mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. Volunteer Registration will open a few months prior to the event.
Volunteers under 18 years of age must have parental/guardian consent. Volunteers under 15 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Remember that children under the age of 12 are not allowed to volunteer or accompany you. You will be told on the event day that your services cannot be utilized if you have children with you. This is for the safety of your child and everyone else involved.

Disney's Fit for a Princess Expo
Sports Enthusiasts will receive confirmation of the shifts for which they have been scheduled. Confirmations will be mailed approximately 30 days prior to the event or emailed after that time. Confirmation will include further information on parking, directions, and other useful information.

Disney's Princess Half Marathon
Sports Enthusiast MUST pick up their Volunteer Credentials at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex on one of the scheduled days listed below. All volunteers must sign a release waiver to obtain your credentials and participate. If you are picking up a credential for another volunteer, please print the waiver and have it signed in advance by the participant. Volunteers under 18 years of age must have a waiver signed by a parent/guardian.

Sports Enthusiast shifts and activities will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis. Although every effort will be made to accommodate your selection, the scheduling office reserves the right to schedule volunteers based on event needs, which includes placing volunteers on a waiting list. You will receive a confirmed volunteer schedule closer to the event. Please refrain from requesting schedule changes until you receive your confirmation. Schedules are subject to change.
Disney's Fit for a Princess Expo Appreciation
As a Sports Enthusiast for the 2014 Disney's Fit for a Princess Expo, you will receive one commemorative piece of apparel for the event (apparel sizes are not guaranteed), and one snack per shift (snacks are typically provided at the start of your shift. If you have special dietary needs, please plan accordingly.) Volunteer for any of the events included in the Annual Sports Enthusiasts Calendar, and you will receive one point for each hour of service completed. For every sixteen (16) points accumulated, you will receive a complimentary Walt Disney World® One Day One Park theme park ticket which entitles you to one visit to any of the following Walt Disney World® Theme Parks: Magic Kingdom® Park, Epcot®, Disney's Hollywood Studios, or Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park. Theme park tickets will be distributed by mail within sixty days upon earning of every sixteen points.
