Registration Policy

  • Entry fees for the 2015 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend Events, Commemorative Items, or any other Princess Half Marathon Weekend related purchases are non-refundable.
  • All races are non-transferable from participant to participant
  • Dates, times and prices subject to change.
  • All races are subject to capacity limits and may close at any time.
  • Disney reserves the right to refuse the entry into, and/or revoke any registration for, any race for any reason in its sole discretion with refund of any applicable registration fees being the sole remedy of any such refusal and/or revocation.
  • For the safety of others on the course we discourage the use of service animals. However, we do offer human guides. If this interests you please contact disneysports@trackshack.com by December 1, 2014 and we will be able to assist you with this. We look forward to working with you.
  • Race entries/bibs are not transferrable from one person/participant to another person/participant. Sale, trade and/or transfer of race entry/bib number is strictly prohibited and may result in the disqualification of and/or banning offenders from participating at future events. Anyone caught attempting to sell or transfer their race entry/bib to another person/participant, pick up another person's/participant's race entry/bib, or participate in a race race using another participant's race entry/bib, will have said race entry/bib cancelled and/or revoked, be disqualified, and be removed from the race without refund.

Deferrals


  • If you are currently registered for The Disney Princess Half Marathon in 2015 you may defer your registration to The Disney Princess Half Marathon in 2016 subject to availability, on or before February 5, 2015.
  • Deferral requests will be assessed a $45 processing fee if completed by January 8, 2015. Deferral requests will be assessed a $70 processing fee if completed between January 9 and February 5, 2015.
  • Deferrals are not allowed for The Princess 5K, runDisney Kids Races, or any other race weekend purchases.
  • The deferral link will be available December 9, 2014 .


Eligibility


  • Participants for the Disney Princess Half Marathon and Glass Slipper Challenge must be 14 years of age or older.
  • Participants in the Disney Enchanted 10K must be 10 years of age or older.
  • You must be 5 years of age on race day to participate in the 5K. Each participant must be able to complete the 5K on their own.
  • Runners unable to maintain the pace may be picked up at any point along the course and transported to the finish.
  • runDisney Kids Race distances are determined by age group for kids 8 and under.
  • A training pace of 15-minute per mile pace is recommended.


Proof-of-Time

runDisney proof of time guidelines:
If you believe you will finish the Half Marathon in less than 3:15 hours, a proof of time from a certified 10K distance or longer is required for start corral placement. Glass Slipper Challenge participants should adhere to Half Marathon proof of time requirements. Proof of time is not required for the 5K and 10K races. Please reference the Pacing Requirements below for finish times and associated pacing per mile.



  • A proof of time must be provided from a certified race reflecting results after February 1, 2013.
  • A valid proof of time provided at the time of registration must include the following*:
    • Name of Race
    • Year
    • Distance
    • Time Finished
    • City
    • State
    • Date

    *For example, Disney Princess Half Marathon, 13.1, Orlando, FL, 2/23/13, - 2:05



    • If you do not have a proof of time to submit, list "N/A" at the point of registration.
    • If proof of time is not provided by December 1, 2014, data provided is incomplete or cannot be verified, you will be placed in the last start corral.

    • As a reminder, you will no longer be able to bring proof of your estimated finish time to the Runner Relations booth during the Expo and have your start corral placement changed.


Pacing

  • 16 minute per mile pace for all athletes in the Disney Princess Half Marathon, Disney Enchanted 10K, or the Disney Princess 5K.
  • Runners unable to maintain the pace may be picked up at any point along the course and transported to the finish line area.
  • A training pace of 15-minute per mile pace is recommended.
  • Pace Cyclists will be on the course indicating when runners are behind pace by waving light wands at each mile markers according to the official pace time. If you reach a mile marker with a light wand waving, please note you are behind the required 16-minute per mile pace and can be picked up at any time and transported to the course pick up tent.

The CLIF BAR Pace Team

The CLIF BAR Pace Team will be returning as this year's "official" Disney Princess Half Marathon pace team. 


Here's How It Works:

  • Each Pace Leader will run even splits (every mile will be run in the same amount of time) throughout the race.
  • By following your Pace Team leader, you'll cross the finish line in under two minutes of your goal time.
  • Pace Teams will be provided for the following finish times:

Princess Half Marathon - 1:40, 1:50, 2:00, 2:15, 2:30, 2:45, and 3:00
Disney Princess 5K -  TBD


Meet Your Pacer at the Expo

  • Meet your Pace Team leader before the race at the Disney Fit for a Princess Expo.
  • Learn about your Pacer's marathon experience; insights on staying hydrated during the race; and assorted tips.
  • Get your free Pace Band from a Pace Leader. 

Where to Meet on Race Day

On race morning, pace leaders will be lined up according to their pace and holding signs with their finish times.  Join your appropriate pace group.
