EVENT QUESTIONS
REGISTRATION
What is included in the registration fee?
Registration for the Princess Half Marathon Weekend includes a commemorative shirt, gear bag, race bib, and admission to the Finish Line Party. For more information on what is included in your registration fee, please see the Registration page.
How do I know if I'm registered?
Once your registration has been processed, you will receive a confirmation email that will serve as your only confirmation of registration. To receive another registration confirmation, please visit the Registration Confirmation section.
Are men allowed to participate?
Yes, while the Princess Half Marathon celebrates women, it is open to everyone (ages 14 and over) and we encourage men to participate. All participants receive the same amenities, including a race shirt (in men's and women's cut) and a finisher medal.
How can I participate as part of a team?
For an additional $15 you participate with one other participant and take on the Princess Half Marathon together! All team members will need to register as individuals prior to filling out to the transfer form to become a 2 person team. Team registrations are non transferable, non refundable, and non deferrable. Anyone who wants to change team members will have to re register as a new 2 person team and pay an additional $15 fee.
Is there a minimum age to register for the race?
You must be at least 10 years old to participate in the Princess 10K, 14 years old to participate in the Princess Half Marathon, and 14 years old to participate in the Glass Slipper Challenge. To view the age requirements for the 5K and Kids' Races, please see the Registration page.
Does my race registration include entry into the park?
Race registration includes entry into the Walt Disney World® theme parks only during the races. You will not need a ticket to participate in any of the Weekend events.
What if I have a better proof of time than when I first registered?
Please email your updated proof of time (include the race you registered for, your official race time, along with the year and name of the race) to disneysports@trackshack.com by December 1, 2013. No proof of time changes will made in the system after December 1, 2013 or onsite.
What do I need for my proof of time?
For a 10K or Half Marathon you will need a certified 10K race result on or after February 1st, 2012, which includes the race name, distance, date, city and state.
Can my race registration be refunded?
Entry fees for the Princess Half Marathon Weekend events are non-refundable.
Can I transfer my race to another participant?
Unfortunately, all of our races are non-transferrable from one participant to another for safety reasons.
Is ChEAR Squad refundable?
No ChEAR Squad is non-refundable, non-transferrable, and non-deferrable.
Are commemorative items refundable?
No, all commemorative items are non-refundable, non-transferrable, and non-deferrable.
Is the Race Retreat refundable?
No, Race Retreat is non-refundable, non-transferrable, and non-deferrable.
I did not purchase a commemorative item during registration, can I purchase one now?
Yes, please visit the Registration page to purchase any of these commemorative items.
EXPO & PACKET PICK-UP
Can someone else pick up my packet if I am unable to attend the expo?
You must pick up your own participant packet (which includes your event-issued bib number and timing device) during regularly scheduled hours. Individuals will no longer be able to pick up participant packets on behalf of others.
What are the hours of the Expo?
Please view our Schedule page for Expo hours.
Where do I pick up my race packet?
You must pick up your race packet at the Princess Half Marathon Weekend Expo held in the HP Field House and Jostens® Center at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
If I can't attend the race, can my race packet be mailed to me?
Unfortunately, we are unable to mail race packets, goody bags, race shirts, commemorative pins, commemorative necklaces or commemorative Mickey ears.
Is Packet Pick-Up available the day of the race?
No, all the Princess Half Marathon Weekend race packets must be picked up at the Princess Half Marathon Weekend Expo and will not be available the day of the race.
Do I need to bring anything with me to Packet Pick-Up?
To pick up your race packet, you must bring a photo ID and your signed waiver. If the participant is under 18 years old, the waiver must be completed and signed by a parent or legal guardian. Waivers will be available one month before the event and on-site at the Expo.
Am I allowed to bring my stroller into the expo?
You will need to park your stroller outside of the Expo. Due to safety we do not allow strollers inside the Expo venue.
Where can I purchase the New Balance runDisney shoe?
The New Balance running shoes will only be available at our runDisney expos in limited quantities. Unfortunately, you cannot order or purchase them. We recommend attending in the morning the first day of Expo.
THE RACE
Will the race be canceled/postponed due to weather?
The Princess Half Marathon Weekend races will be held rain or shine, except in the case of lightning. For the Walt Disney World® Lightning Policy, please see our Safety Page.
Is there a pacing requirement for the race?
Yes, there is a 16-minute per mile pace for the Princess Half Marathon Weekend races. Your time starts (excluding the Family Fun Run 5K and kids races) when you cross the start line timing mat and your B-tag is activated. We suggest that you train for a 15 minute per mile pace to allow time for restroom breaks, photo opportunities, etc.
What happens if I can't keep up with the pacing requirement for any of the weekend events?
Anyone not able to maintain the pace may be picked up and transported to the family reunion area at any point along the course.
Are you allowed to wear a costume for the Princess Half Marathon, 10K and 5K?
Yes, but your costume cannot include a face mask. Anyone seen in violation of this will be removed from the course. If your costume is questionable or offensive to others, we reserve the right to either ask you to change into something more appropriate or remove you from the event.
Can I use my iPod, MP3 player or headphones?
Headphones can be worn but are discouraged due to audio messages that are placed throughout the course to ensure your safety.
Will bag check be available for this race?
You will receive a clear plastic bag at Packet Pick-Up, please use this bag for the bag check service. We will not accept any other type of bag. You will also receive a numbered bag check sticker at Packet Pick-Up. You should place the sticker in the clearly defined area on your clear plastic bag. Please attach the sticker to the clear plastic bag prior to arriving at Bag Check. Once you finish, your race number will be used to verify your bag when you pick it up. Any bags not picked up by the end of the race will be taken to Epcot® Lost & Found. Please do not check any valuable items. The Event Staff is not responsible for any lost, damaged, or stolen items.
If my friend or family member is assigned to a different corral, can we change corrals?
Corral placement is based on each individuals anticipated finish time. The person placed in the faster corral is allowed to move back to a slower corral, but no one is allowed to move forward.
Can a male runner start the race with his female running partner?
Yes, men and women can start the race together provided they qualify for the same start corral. The only exception is the two first corrals which will be reserved for our elite and faster female runners.
How many water and food stops will be located on the Princess 10K and Half Marathon?
A total of 9 Dasani water and lemon-lime PowerAde stops will be located along the Half Marathon course. Stops are placed approximately 1.5 miles apart along the course and both Dasani water and lemon-lime PowerAde will be available at all stops. One food stop with Clif Shots will be available near Mile 9. Please see the Course page for more information.
Is Food and Beverage available prior to the Races?
Food and beverage will be available for purchase in the Wonder Lot and Imagine Lot at Epcot® from 3:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Sunday February 23rd
Is the Princess Half Marathon course certified?
Yes, the Princess Half Marathon course is certified by USA Track & Field.
Which timing splits will be provided for the Half Marathon?
Your race results for the Half Marathon will include splits for the 5K, 10K and 15K. Your overall gun and net time are also provided.
Where can I find my race results?
You will be able to view your results on the Results page of our site and will be posted online within 24 hours of the conclusion of the race.
How do I find my race photos after the race?
Please visit marathonfoto.com to view your race photos. You will need your race number to access your photos. Please allow 48 hours after the race for photos to be loaded.
How can I view my race certificate after the race?
Please visit mydisneymarathon.com to view your race certificate.
Is there an awards ceremony?
Yes, top finisher awards for the Princess Half Marathon will be presented at the awards ceremony. Top finishers for the 10K and Age group awards will be mailed following the race. Please allow for 4-6 weeks delivery. Please see our Awards page for more information on awards and the awards ceremony.
Are men eligible for awards?
Only women will be eligible for overall, military, masters, and age group awards. Men who register and run as part of a co-ed team are eligible for co-ed team awards. All male finishers will receive medals.
TEAMS
How can I participate as part of a team?
For an additional $15 you can race with one other participant and take on the Princess Half Marathon together! What is included in a team member registration?

I am registered as an individual, but want to be part of a team how do I do that?
You will both need to be registered as individuals and then pay the $15 fee and fill out the team registration form which can be found on our website.
I am registered as part of a team, but want to be an individual runner?
Send an e-mail to runDisney@disneysports.com and we will put you in the correct category for the race. You will NOT be refunded your team registration fee which you paid to become a team.
I am registered as part of a team, but want to change team mates, how do I do that?
You will need to fill out the Team registration form with your new team mate and pay the additional $15 to register as a new a team.
Will my team mate and I be placed in the same corral?
Corrals are based on anticipated finish times. If you and your team mate have the same anticipated finish times you are more likely to be placed in the same corral. If you are placed in different corrals the runner in the higher corral can drop back to be with the other runner.
Will there be team results?
There will be team results. Awards for the top three teams overall will be based off of team results.
Will there be team awards?
Yes if you register as a team you will be eligible for team awards based on results. There will be awards for the top three teams overall.
Who can be on a Team?
Teams can consist of any two registered Princess Half Marathon participants 14 years or older. Teams can be all male, all female, or coed.
GLASS SLIPPER CHALLENGE
I registered for the Half Marathon and 10K separately; do I still qualify for the Glass Slipper Challenge?
Unfortunately, no, you have to register specifically for Glass Slipper Challenge to be eligible.
Is there anything special I need to do following the race?
Following the Marathon on Sunday, proceed to the Glass Slipper Challenge tent to receive your Glass Slipper Challenge medal.
What if I can't meet the pacing requirement and get pulled from the course, do I still get the Glass Slipper Challenge Medal?
Unfortunately, no, if you are pulled from the course for whatever reason, you will not receive your Glass Slipper Challenge medal.
Will I have to wear different bibs each day of the race, or do I only receive one?
You will only receive one bib which will be a Glass Slipper Challenge bib. You will need to wear the same bib for both the 10K and Half Marathon in order to receive the Glass Slipper Challenge medal.
5K
Where is the 5K located?
The 5K will be located at Disney's EPCOT® Theme Park.
Will there be a stroller division?
The 5K course will NOT allow strollers.
Is the course wheel chair accessible?
Yes, the course will be wheel chair accessible. Wheelchair participants must participate in a racing wheelchair under their own power.
Is Packet Pick-Up available the day of the race?
No, all the Disney's Family Fun Run 5K Weekend race packets must be picked up at the Disney Fit for a Princess Expo and will not be available the day of the race.
10K
Where is the 10K located?
The 10K will be located at Disney's EPCOT® Theme Park.
Will there be a stroller division?
The 10K course will NOT allow strollers.
Is the course wheel chair accessible?
Yes, the course will be wheel chair accessible. Wheelchair participants must participate in a racing wheelchair under their own power.

No, all the Princess Kids Races Weekend race packets must be picked up at the Princess Half Marathon Weekend Expo and will not be available the day of the race.
RACE RETREAT/CHEAR ZONE
Where is Race Retreat located?
The Race Retreat tent is located in the Family Reunion Area (Wonder Lot) at Epcot® as part of the staging area for both the half marathon and 10K. For more information please visit our Event page.
When is the Race Retreat?
The Race Retreat takes place on both Saturday, February 22, and Sunday, February 23, 2014. Runners may enter the race retreat starting at 3:00a.m. Spectators may enter the race retreat at 5:30a.m. For more information please visit our Event page.
Where are the ChEAR Zones Located?
There is one [1] standing room only on course location at the Magic Kingdom in front of Cinderella Castle. There is also a reserved seating location at the finish line in the Imagine Lot at Epcot®.

PASTA IN THE PARK
What is Pasta in the Park?
Pasta in the Park is a buffet pasta dinner available from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with a 9:00 p.m. viewing of Illuminations on Friday February 21st, and Saturday February 22nd, 2014 at Epcot®. For more information on Pasta in the Park, please visit the Pasta in the Park web page.

Is admission to the park included in race registration?
Admission to the theme parks is not included in race registration. You must purchase a theme park ticket to enter any of the theme parks before the race and/or after party. SPECTATORS & TRANSPORTATION
Is event transportation provided?
Princess Half Marathon Weekend transportation has been arranged for Guests staying at Walt Disney World® Resort hotels including Shades of Green® and Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort. Buses will be indicated by runDisney signs placed in the front windows. Please note, transportation is only provided to and from the host resorts. If you are staying at a host resort, please check with your front desk for a pick-up location. Because parking is extremely limited at event venues, Guests staying at host resorts are strongly encouraged to use provided transportation to all Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend events (excluding the Downtown Disney® Cool Down Party). Guests who do not stay at a host resort will need to provide their own transportation to weekend events.
How do I get to the various race starts?
Participants staying at a Walt Disney World® resort should use event transportation to reach all of the Weekend's events. For pick up locations and times, please see your front desk when you check into your resort. Guests not staying at a Walt Disney World® resort will need to provide their own transportation.
If I'm staying at an Epcot® resort, can I walk through Epcot® to get to the buses for the 10K and Half Marathon?
No, you will not be allowed to walk through Epcot® to reach race transportation. If you are staying at a host Epcot® resort, the Event Host Resort transportation will take you directly to the EPCOT.
Is transportation available for spectators?
Yes. Spectators staying at an Event Host Resort can use event transportation. First priority for transportation will be given to race participants! For more details, please visit our Transportation page.
What if I am not staying at a host resort?
No transportation will be provided for guests staying at a non-host resort even if it is on Walt Disney World property. Parking will be available at Epcot® ONLY for the 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon for the race and at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex for the Expo.
Where are spectators allowed to watch the Half Marathon?
Spectators will be able to view their runner in the Magic Kingdom prior to the park opening. The best location to view your runner is at the Finish Line in the Imagine Lot at Epcot®. Please see Spectator Resources for more details.
Where should I plan to meet up with my runner after the race?
Before your runner starts the race, make sure you know your runner's race number, anticipated finish time, what they are wearing and have a plan as to where to meet after the race. Alphabetical Family Reunion signs will be located in the finish line area. We recommend meeting according to the first letter of the participant's last name.
What is runner tracking and where do I sign up for it?
Family and friends will be able to track participants with live online runner tracking by having split times sent to email and text messaging by registering for this service. You will be able to sign up for runner tracking two weeks prior to the race and at runDisney.com/Princess or at the Expo.
OTHER
What is the Coast to Coast Race Challenge?
If you complete a half marathon distance or longer race at both the Disneyland® Resort and Walt Disney World® Resort in the SAME calendar year, then you will receive an additional medal commemorating your achievement. For more details, visit the Coast to Coast Race Challenge page.
Is the Princess Half Marathon eligible for the Coast to Coast Race Challenge?
Yes, the Princess Half Marathon is eligible for the Coast to Coast Race Challenge.
If I run the Tinker Bell Half Marathon, Princess Half Marathon, and an additional Half Marathon or longer will I eligible for two Coast to Coast medals?
No, you must participate in the Tinker Bell Half Marathon, Princess Half Marathon, an additional Half Marathon on the West Coast, and an additional Half Marathon or longer on the East Coast in order to be eligible for two Coast to Coast medals.
How do I earn two Coast to Coast medals?
You must participate in the Tinker Bell Half Marathon, Princess Half Marathon, an additional Half Marathon on the West Coast, and an additional Half Marathon or longer on the East Coast in order to be eligible for two Coast to Coast medals. In total you will run four Half Marathons or longer, however you MUST participate in the Tinker Bell Half Marathon and Princess Half Marathon to be eligible for two Coast to Coast medals.
If I run the Tinker Bell Half Marathon and Princess Half Marathon can I still receive the Blue Coast to Coast medal?
No, unfortunately not. You will need to keep your pink Coast to Coast medal.
If I am running the in the Walt Disney Marathon Weekend Half Marathon or longer, Tinker Bell Half Marathon, and Princess Half Marathon, can I wait until the Princess Half Marathon to receive the pink Coast to Coast Medal instead of receiving a blue one at Tinker Bell?
Yes, if you are participating in Walt Disney Marathon Weekend Half Marathon or longer, Tinker Bell Half Marathon, and Princess Half Marathon you will be contacted via e-mail by runDisney as to which medal you would like to receive. If you are participating in this combination you will ONLY be eligible for ONE Coast to Coast medal. If you are only running the Tinker Bell Half Marathon and Princess Half Marathon you will only be eligible for the pink Coast to Coast medal.
How do I become eligible for the pink Coast to Coast medal?
You must participate in the Tinker Bell Half Marathon and Princess Half Marathon in order to be eligible for the pink Coast to Coast medal.
Can I switch my pink Coast to Coast medal for the blue Coast to Coast medal?
No, unfortunately not. If you are running in the Tinker Bell Half Marathon, and Princess Half Marathon you will receive a pink Coast to Coast medal. Unfortunately, no switches can be made in this case.
Are childcare services available during my stay at the Walt Disney World® Resort?
Yes, childcare provider Kids' Nite Out offers one-to-one in-room babysitting and childcare specialists during your family's visit to the Parks. This service is available to guests 24 hours a day, seven days a week. To contact Kids' Nite Out, please call 407-828-0920 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. or visit their website.

What is included in the registration fee?

Each participant's registration includes a commemorative shirt, iGiftBag, and race bib.

How do I know that I'm registered?

Once your registration has been processed, you will receive a confirmation email from Active.com. This email will serve as your only confirmation of registration.

Can I get an additional registration confirmation emailed to me?

Is this race walker friendly?

All runDisney races are walker friendly as long as the walker can maintain the minimum pacing requirement for the race they are participating in.

If you have contacted us right before or right after an event or during a holiday, please expect a delayed response time. The runDisney Team who answers your calls is the same team who is busy planning your magical event! During other times of the year, if you have not heard back from us and it has been over 2 business days, please feel free to call us again.
