REGISTRATION
What is included in the registration fee?
Registration for the Walt Disney World® Marathon presented by Cigna® includes a commemorative shirt, gEAR bag, iGiftBag, and race bib. For more information on what is included in your registration fee, please see the Events page.
How do I know if I'm registered?
Once your registration has been processed, you will receive a confirmation email that will serve as your only confirmation of registration. To receive another registration confirmation, please visit the Registration Confirmation page.
Is there a minimum age to register for the race?
You must be at least 10 years old to participate in the Walt Disney World® 10K presented by Cigna® 14 years old to participate in the Walt Disney World® Half Marathon presented by Cigna® and 18 years old to participate in the Walt Disney World® Marathon presented by Cigna® Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge presented by Cigna® and Dopey Challenge presented by Cigna®. Does my race registration include entry into the park?
Race registration includes entry into the Walt Disney World® theme parks only during the races; a Theme Park ticket is not required to participate in the races. For visits to the Theme Parks during the rest of your stay at the Walt Disney World® Resort, valid admission must be purchased separately.  Specially priced Theme Park tickets can be purchased by calling 407-939-iRUN
What is included on my personalized bib?
Your personalized bib will include your first name and your race number.
Are there gender specific sizes for the participant shirts?
Men’s and women’s short-sleeved tech shirts are offered for the Walt Disney World® 10K presented by Cigna® the Walt Disney World ® Half Marathon, Walt Disney World ® Marathon, and Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge presented by Cigna®  and Dopey Challenge presented by Cigna®   participants. Disney Family Fun Run 5K presented by Cigna® and runDisneyKids Races participants receive a unisex sized t-shirt. For more information on tech shirt sizing, please view the size chart.
What do I need for my proof of time?
Participants in the Walt Disney World® Half Marathon presented by Cigna® will need to provide results from a certified 10K race or longer on or after January 1, 2013. Participants in the Walt Disney World® Marathon presented by Cigna®Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge presented by Cigna®  and Dopey Challenge presented by Cigna®   will need to provide results from a certified 10 mile race or longer on or after January 1, 2013. When submitting proof of time, include the race name, finish time, distance, date, city and state e.g., Walt Disney World® Half Marathon presented by Cigna®2:30, 13.1 miles, January 11, 2014 Orlando, FL. Please email your proof of time information to disneysports@trackshack.com by October 10, 2014. No proof of time changes will be made in the system after October 10, 2014, including at Packet Pick-Up at the Disney Health & Fitness Expo.

Participants registered for the Walt Disney World ® Half Marathon, Walt Disney World® Marathon presented by Cigna® Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge presented by Cigna®  and Dopey Challenge presented by Cigna®   who do not provide proof of time will be placed in the last start corral.
What forms of payment are accepted for race registration?
Credit and debit cards are acceptable forms of payment for registration for Walt Disney World® Marathon presented by Cigna®   Weekend Events.  Unfortunately, Disney Gift Cards, Disney Dollars, Disney Reward Dream Dollars, and personal checks are not accepted.
Can I use a Disney Gift Card or Disney Dollars to pay for my race registration?
Can my race registration be refunded?
Race registrations for runDisney events, including Walt Disney World® Marathon presented by Cigna® Weekend events, are not transferrable from the original registrant to another participant for safety reasons.
Can I transfer my race to another participant?

I did not purchase a commemorative item during registration. Can I purchase one now?

Is the Race Retreat refundable?
No, Race Retreat is non-refundable, non-transferrable, and non-deferrable.
Are commemorative items refundable?

Once a race is sold out is there any way to register or be put on a waitlist?
Since race registrations are non-refundable, we do not maintain a waitlist for interested participants once all registrations have been sold.  Official travel providers and charity groups may have available registrations for an event.  For more information, please visit the Registration page.
I am unable to attend the race. Am I able to defer my registration?
We offer a deferral program in which you can defer your registration to the same race distance during the same race weekend the following year for a fee, pending race capacity. For more information, please refer to the Registration page. Walt Disney World® Half Marathon presented by Cigna®  Walt Disney World® Marathon presented by Cigna®Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge presented by Cigna®  and Dopey Challenge presented by Cigna®   registrations are eligible for deferral. However, the Runner’s World Challenge, Disney Family Fun Run 5K presented by Cigna and runDisney Kids Race registrations are not eligible for deferral.
When will I be able to defer my registration?
A link will be available approximately 5 months prior to the race on the Registration page.  Participants may defer race registration to eligible 2016 Walt Disney World® Half Marathon presented by Cigna® Weekend events until December 18, 2014, or until deferrals reach capacity. Please note that the Runner’s World Challenge, Disney Family Fun Run 5K presented by Cigna and runDisney Kids Race registrations are not eligible for deferral.
Can I defer to any race weekend?
Per the runDisney registration policy, you can only defer to the same race distance during the same race weekend the following year.

If you are deferring your race registration, you must defer the entire Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge presented by Cigna®  or Dopey Challenge presented by Cigna®. You cannot partially defer a challenge. 
Can I defer a Disney Family Fun Run 5K presented by Cigna registration?
The Disney Family Fun Run 5K presented by Cigna registrations are non-deferrable, non-transferrable, and non-refundable.
Can I defer a runDisney Kids Race registration?
runDisney Kids Race registrations are non-deferrable, non-transferrable, and non-refundable.
I need some type of guide with me during the race, how do I go about arranging that?

We can offer human guides to assist registered participants with disabilities.  Please contact rundisney@disneysports.com no later than 90 days prior to an event.  

I purchased other race weekend products, am I able to defer those as well?
All race weekend products, including ChEAR Squad presented by Transitions® adaptive lenses™ packages, Pasta in the Park Party tickets, and Commemorative Items, are non-deferrable, non-transferrable, and non-refundable.
EXPO & PACKET PICK-UP
Can someone else pick up my packet if I am unable to attend the expo?
You must pick up your own participant packet (which includes your event-issued bib number and timing device) during regularly scheduled hours. Individuals will no longer be able to pick up participant packets on behalf of others.
What are the hours of the Expo?
Please view our Schedule page for Expo hours.
Where do I pick up my race packet?
You must pick up your race packet at the Walt Disney World® Weekend Expo held in the HP Field House and Jostens® Center at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
If I can't attend the race, can my race packet be mailed to me?
Unfortunately, we are unable to mail race packets, goody bags, race shirts, commemorative pins, commemorative necklaces or commemorative Mickey ears.
Is Packet Pick-Up available the morning of the race?
No, all the Walt Disney World® Weekend race packets must be picked up at the Walt Disney World® Weekend Expo and will not be available the day of the race.
Do I need to bring anything with me to Packet Pick-Up?
To pick up your race packet, you must bring a photo ID and your signed waiver. If the participant is under 18 years old, the waiver must be completed and signed by a parent or legal guardian. Waivers will be available one month before the event and on-site at the Expo.
Am I allowed to bring my stroller into the expo?
You will need to park your stroller outside of the Expo. Due to safety we do not allow strollers inside the Expo venue.
Where can I purchase the New Balance runDisney shoe?
The New Balance running shoes will only be available at our runDisney expos in limited quantities. Unfortunately, you cannot order or purchase them. We recommend attending in the morning the first day of Expo.
THE RACE
What time do I need to be in my corral?
You will need to be in your corral no later than 45 minutes prior to the race. Runners who arrive after the race starts will not be allowed to participate.
Will the race be canceled/postponed due to weather?
All Walt Disney World® Weekend races will be held rain or shine, except in the case of lightning. For the Walt Disney World® Lightning Policy, please see our Safety Page.
Is there a pacing requirement for the race?
Yes, there is a 16-minute per mile pace for the Walt Disney World® Weekend races. Your time starts (excluding the Family Fun Run 5K and kids races) when you cross the start line timing mat and your B-tag is activated. We suggest that you train for a 15 minute per mile pace to allow time for restroom breaks, photo opportunities, etc.
What happens if I can't keep up with the pacing requirement for any of the weekend events?
Anyone not able to maintain the pace may be picked up and transported to the family reunion area at any point along the course.
Are you allowed to wear a costume for the 5K or Half Marathon?
Yes, but your costume cannot include a face mask. Anyone seen in violation of this will be removed from the course. If your costume is questionable or offensive to others, we reserve the right to either ask you to change into something more appropriate or remove you from the event.
Can I use my iPod, MP3 player or headphones?
Headphones can be worn but are discouraged due to audio messages that are placed throughout the course to ensure your safety.
Will bag check be available for this race?
You will receive a clear plastic bag at Packet Pick-Up, please use this bag for the bag check service. We will not accept any other type of bag. You will also receive a numbered bag check sticker at Packet Pick-Up. You should place the sticker in the clearly defined area on your clear plastic bag. Please attach the sticker to the clear plastic bag prior to arriving at Bag Check. Once you finish, your race number will be used to verify your bag when you pick it up. Any bags not picked up by the end of the race will be taken to Epcot® Lost & Found. Please do not check any valuable items. The Event Staff is not responsible for any lost, damaged, or stolen items.
If my friend or family member is assigned to a different corral, can we change corrals?
Corral placement is based on each individuals anticipated finish time. The person placed in the faster corral is allowed to move back to a slower corral, but no one is allowed to move forward.
How many water and food stops will be located on the Half Marathon course?
Water will be available for registered participants in the "runner only" corral area prior to race start. Dasani water and PowerAde stops will be located along each course. Additionally, there will be no food stops located along the 10K, one food stop located along the Half Marathon course and four food stops located along the Marathon course. At the conclusion of each race, participants will receive one bottle of Dasani water, one bottle of PowerAde, fruit, and various other food items.
Is Food and Beverage available prior to the Races?
Food and beverage will be available for purchase in the Wonder Lot and Imagine Lot at Epcot® from 3:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 10, and from 3:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 11.
Are the Half Marathon and Marathon courses certified?
Yes, both the Half Marathon and Marathon courses are certified by USA Track & Field.
Which timing splits will be provided for the Half Marathon and Marathon?
Your race results for the Half Marathon will include splits for the 5K, 10K and 15K. Your race results for the Marathon will include splits for the 5 mile, 10 mile, 13.1 mile, and 20 mile. Your overall gun and net time are also provided.
Where can I find my race results?
You will be able to view your Half Marathon and Marathon results on the Results page of our site and will be posted online within 24 hours of the conclusion of the race.
How do I find my race photos after the race?
Please visit brightroom.com to view your race photos. You will need your race number to access your photos. Please allow 48 hours after the race for photos to be loaded.
Is there an awards ceremony?
Yes, top finisher awards for the Walt Disney World Half and Full Marathon will be presented at the awards ceremony. Top finishers for the 10K and Age group awards will be mailed following the race. Please allow for 4-6 weeks delivery. Please see our Awards page for more information on awards and the awards ceremony.
GOOFY'S CHALLENGE
I registered for the Half Marathon and Marathon separately; do I still qualify for Goofy's Challenge?
Unfortunately, no, you have to register specifically for Goofy's Challenge to be eligible.
Is there anything special I need to do following the race?
Following the Marathon on Sunday, proceed to the Goofy's Challenge tent to receive your Goofy's Challenge medal.
What if I can't meet the pacing requirement and get pulled from the course, do I still get the Goofy medal?
Unfortunately, no, if you are pulled from the course for whatever reason, you will not receive your Goofy medal.
What if I lose my half marathon wrist band and don't have it when I get to the Goofy's Race and Half Challenge tent on Sunday after the Marathon will I still receive my Goofy's Race and Half Challenge medal?
If you do not have your Half Marathon wristband we can look in the system to see your results of the Half Marathon. If you finished you will be eligible for the Goofy's Race and Half Challenge Medal. Unfortunately, if you did not finish you will no longer be eligible for the Dopey Medal.
Will I have to wear different bibs each day of the race, or do I only receive one?
You will only receive one bib which will be a Goofy's Challenge bib. You will need to wear the same bib for both the Half and the Full Marathon in order to receive the Goofy's Challenge medal.
DOPEY CHALLENGE
I registered for the Half Marathon and Marathon separately; do I still qualify for the Dopey Challenge?
Unfortunately, no, you have to register specifically for Dopey's Challenge to be eligible.

What if I signed up for the Dopey Challenge, but only completed part of the challenge and do not finish all four race? Will I still receive the Dopey Challenge medal?
If you do not complete the 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and Full Marathon you will not be eligible for the Dopey Challenge medal. If you complete the Half and Full Marathon you are still eligible to receive the Goofy's Race and Half Challenge medal.

There is one [1] standing room only on course location at the Magic Kingdom® Park in front of Cinderella Castle. There is also a reserved seating location at the finish line in the Imagine Lot at Epcot®.

What is Pasta in the Park?
Pasta in the Park is a buffet pasta dinner available from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with a 9:00 p.m. viewing of Illuminations on Thursday, January 8 through Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Epcot®. For more information on Pasta in the Park, please visit the Pasta in the Park page.

Are there discounted theme park tickets?
Unfortunately, for this race weekend there are no discounted theme park tickets.
What resorts are host resorts?
All Walt Disney World® resorts including Shades of Green, The Swan, and The Dolphin are host resorts and will provide event transportation to race weekend events.
Is admission to the park included in race registration?
Admission to the theme parks is not included in race registration. You must purchase a theme park ticket to enter any of the theme parks before the race and/or after party. You can do so by calling 407-wdw-irun or visiting our website www.rundisney.com . For more information on resorts, please visit the Travel Details page.
TRANSPORTATION
Is event transportation provided?
Walt Disney World® Weekend transportation has been arranged for Guests staying at Walt Disney World® Resort hotels including Shades of Green® and Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort. Buses will be indicated by runDisney signs placed in the front windows. Please note, transportation is only provided to and from the host resorts. If you are staying at a host resort, please check with your front desk for a pick-up location. Because parking is extremely limited at event venues, Guests staying at host resorts are strongly encouraged to use provided transportation to all Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend events (excluding the Downtown Disney® Cool Down Party). Guests who do not stay at a host resort will need to provide their own transportation to weekend events.
How do I get to the various race starts?
Participants staying at a Walt Disney World® resort should use event transportation to reach all of the Weekend's events. For pick up locations and times, please see your front desk when you check into your resort. Guests not staying at a Walt Disney World® resort will need to provide their own transportation.
If I'm staying at an Epcot® resort, can I walk through Epcot® to the start of any of the races or the following of the races?
No, you will not be allowed to walk through Epcot® to reach the start line. If you are staying at an Epcot® resort, the Event transportation will take you directly to Epcot®. Participants staying at host Epcot® resorts will not be able to walk back to their resort following the race.
Is transportation available for spectators?
Yes. Spectators staying at a Walt Disney World® resort can use event transportation. First priority for transportation will be given to race participants! For more details, please visit our Transportation page.
What if I am not staying at a host resort?
No transportation will be provided for guests staying at a non-host resort even if it is on Walt Disney World® property. Parking will be available at Epcot® ONLY for the 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and Full Marathon for the race, and at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex for the Expo.
Where are spectators allowed to watch the Half Marathon or Marathon?
Spectators will be able to view their runner in the Magic Kingdom® Park prior to the park opening. The best location to view your runner is at the Finish Line in the Imagine Lot at Epcot®. Please see Spectator Resources for more details.
Where should I plan to meet up with my runner after the race?
Before your runner starts the race, make sure you know your runner's race number, anticipated finish time, what they are wearing and have a plan as to where to meet after the race. Alphabetical Family Reunion signs will be located in the finish line area. We recommend meeting according to the first letter of the participant's last name.
SPECTATORS
Where are spectators allowed to watch the Marathon and Half Marathon?

Where should I plan to meet up with my runner after the race?
Before your runner starts the race, make sure you know your runner's race number, anticipated finish time, what they are wearing and have a plan as to where to meet after the race. The following banners will be in the finish line area to reference as a meet up place; Red: A-B, Blue: C-E, Yellow: F-H, Green: I-Ma, Black: Mc-Q, Purple: R-S, Orange: T-Z.
What is runner tracking and where do I sign up for it?
Family and friends will be able to track participants with live online runner tracking by having split times sent to email and text messaging by registering for this service. You will be able to sign up for runner tracking two weeks prior to the race and at runDisney.com/Marathon or at the Expo.
DEFERRALS
I am unable to attend the race, am I able to defer my registration?
Yes we do offer a deferral program in which you can defer your registration to the same race weekend the following year. Please note there is a fee to defer your race registration. Please refer the registration tab for more information.
I submitted my deferral request form, how do I know you received it?
Once you submit a deferral request you will receive a follow up e-mail with further instructions. Please be sure to look for this e-mail.
If am deferring to a shorter distance will I be refunded the difference plus my registration fees?
You will be refunded the lesser of the two race registration fees less the deferral fee and processing fees.
I am deferring to a longer distance will I be responsible for paying the greater registration fees?
Yes you will be responsible for paying the full registration and processing fees for the race you are deferring to.
Can I defer to any race weekend?
Unfortunately, you can only defer to the same weekend the following year. If you would like you can defer to a different distance as long as it is a 10K distance or longer within the same race weekend.
Can I defer my kids races?
Unfortunately, our kids race registrations are non-deferrable, non-transferrable, and non-refundable.
Can I defer my 5K?
Unfortunately, our 5K registrations are non-deferrable, non-transferrable, and non-refundable.
I purchased commemorative items, am I able to defer those as well?

What is the Coast to Coast Race Challenge?

GENERAL QUESTIONS

What is included in the registration fee?

Each participant's registration includes a commemorative shirt, iGiftBag, and race bib.

How do I know that I'm registered?

Once your registration has been processed, you will receive a confirmation email from Active.com. This email will serve as your only confirmation of registration.

Can I get an additional registration confirmation emailed to me?

To receive an additional registration confirmation, visit the Registration Confirmation page. Enter the email address you used to register for the race and an additional confirmation email will be sent to you.

Is there a minimum age to register for the race?

To view the age requirements for each race, please see the Registration page.

Does my race registration include entry into the park?

Theme park tickets must be purchased separately from your race registration. Theme park tickets may be pre-purchased by calling 407-WDW-IRUN.

Do I need to purchase a theme park ticket to participate in the race?

A theme park ticket is not needed to participate in any runDisney race.

What is included on my personalized bib?

Your personalized bib will include your first name and your race number for all runDisney races.

If I am injured, pregnant or no longer able to attend the event, can I get a refund?

Entry fees are non-refundable.

Can I get a refund on my race entry?

Is there a pacing requirement for the race?

Yes. Please visit our Pacing Requirements page for details regarding pacing requirements for each event weekend race.

Is this race walker friendly?

All runDisney races are walker friendly as long as the walker can maintain the minimum pacing requirement for the race they are participating in.

What happens if I can't keep up with the pacing requirement?

Anyone not able to maintain the pace may be picked up and transported to the finish at any point along the course.

Are you allowed to wear a costume in runDisney races?

Yes, however, your costume cannot include a face mask. Anyone seen in violation of this will be removed from the course. If your costume is questionable or offensive to others, we reserve the right to either have you change into something more appropriate or remove you from the event.

Are there any other restrictions I should know about?

Yes, additional restrictions may apply on an event-by-event basis. Please review the "Safety" information in the Runner Information page of the event you are interested in.

Can I use my iPod, MP3 player or headphones?

Headphones can be worn but are discouraged due to audio messages that are placed throughout the course to ensure your safety.

Will the race be canceled/postponed due to weather?

All runDisney races will be held rain or shine, except in the case of lightning. For the Walt Disney World® Lightning Policy, please see the Safety information of the Runners Information page of the event you are interested in.

Is bag check available for runDisney races?

Yes.
